All correspondence should be addressed to Editor-in-Chief. The publication for the authors is free-of-charge. The volume of the manuscript (number of manuscript pages) - unlimited. Normal time of the publication - three months.
Submission of Manuscripts
Author will normally receive reviewers' comments within six weeks of submission. The decisions of the Editors are final.
Papers must be submitted exclusively to Dipterological Research and are accepted on the understanding that they have not been, and will not be, published elsewhere.
Presentation of Manuscripts
Digital version by e-mail, and/or two copies of each manuscript should be submitted. The text should be double-spaced and, where appropriate, original art works, not larger than 210 x 297 mm (A4), should be provided with each copy of the manuscript. Prefer must art works is photoreduced to page size: 140 x 205 mm.
Disk copies must be on MS-DOS 5.25 or 3.5 diskettes either in ASCII text file, or Word Perfect, or Windows Write, or MS Word for Windows (all ver.)
The title page include author's name(s), affiliations and the address to which all correspondence and proofs should be sent. A telephone, e-mail address, and/or FAX number should also be supplied. A running title of not more than 50 characters, including spaces, should be provided and up to four key words for indexing purposes.
All papers must include a summary not exceeding 120 words which should be made as far as possible intelligible to a more general audience. The main text should be subdivided into Introduction, Results and Discussion. The Results and Discussions sections may be combined and can include additional subheadings. All pages must be numbered consecutively. Tables, figure legends and acknowledgements should be submitted on separate sheets following the main text. The preferred position of tables and figures should be indicated in the margin of the text. Abbreviations of non-standard terms should follow,in parentheses, their first full usage.
Manuscripts within the scope of the journal will be reviewed by at least two referees.
Page proofs will be despatched about eight weeks after acceptance of papers and should be corrected and returned within five days of receipt. Only corrections and essential changes should be made at this stage. The cost of extensive changes will be charged to the authors. The Editors reserve the right to make minor modifications to manuscripts that do not conform to accepted standards. Such alterations will be submitted to the authors for approval at the proof stage.
Twenty five offprints of each article will be supplied free. Additional offprints may be ordered using the form supplied with the proofs.
